Valfiemme Legnami was founded 50 years ago. Antonio Giacomuzzi started the first sawmill in 1972 near Ziano, Italy — at the time still a small town with only a few houses — in the heart of the Fiemme Valley. He was later joined by his sons, Adriano, Mario, and Mirco.

In the 1990s, it was Adriano who had the clever foresight to invest in laminated profiles, although at that time, there was little interest in that sector. And so began the evolution of a small valley sawmill into a national wood company. The town of Ziano also continued to grow, and Valfiemme soon found itself surrounded by the residential centre.

Driven by the need to move and evolve, Adriano’s son Alan is always looking ahead. Huge investments and a forward-thinking entrepreneurial spirit have resulted in the construction of an impressive new facility in San Lugano, Italy, which is nearly complete: 32,000 m2, with 18,000 m2 dedicated to making high-quality laminates and blockboard.

Today, Valfiemme Legnami is one of the leading companies in the industry, outstanding for its rare flexibility in handling and customising orders. Precision, reliability, and flexibility plus 2 operating facilities and a staff of about 45 people, including employees, agents and collaborators, we are ready to become the third largest manufacturer in Europe.
